Does anyone know how this trophy ended up in the St John's University Track & Field Office?A little internet research indicates that it originates from St John’s College in Oxford and not St John's University. The cup is dated Feb 1884.
Looks like the cup was awarded to L.W. Reed who ran Cross Country among other things at Oxford.
The cup is stamped D. Munsey Cambridge. It appears that the trophy maybe valuable given the following auction item also by the same silversmith.
